Foundation for the Orphan House: Check!!

Remember our Hot Sauce for Haiti and Haircuts for Haiti fundraisers we had a few months ago?  Remember when I told you the funding from these events combined with the general donations from your giving hearts, allowed us to raise the $4000 to build the foundation for the orphan house at Nahum's Village?

Well, today we celebrate because the foundation phase is complete!!  Today we check that right off of the list!!

Thank you, Jesus!!

Today we are one step closer to moving the children out of the tents they sleep in and into an actual permanent structure with a real floor, real walls, and a real roof!!  Because YOU chose to participate in these fundraisers YOUR gifts continue to represent tangible love to these amazing kids.  I know these kids personally...they are all so very sweet and have the most precious spirits.  I can't imagine how exciting it is for them to peer out of the zippered flaps on their tents each morning and see the work being accomplished on their very own orphan home. 

So, today we celebrate but we also look ahead.  You have given these orphans more hope than they have ever had in their entire lives.  Let's complete what they are hoping for...let's overwhelm them with our love by funding the rest of this project and making their dream of living in a house a reality.

You will have an inside look into this redemptive project...I will be posting pictures of each phase of the orphan house that YOU will help build for these kids...YOU can continue to be their voice and change the future of Haiti!!
Participating in finishing this project is going to be so FUN!!  The next event scheduled is one that we believe can bring in enough to not only complete the orphan house but also provide them with a water well.  We believe this because we know all things are possible with God and we believe YOU will be His hands and feet to make this happen!! 


Envision with me again, the children peering from their tents in the mornings...Can you think of anything more heartwarming than the love, joy, and excitement that must fill their little hearts as they watch each phase of their house come together?

The need for this orphan home is urgent.  Tents do not provide adequate shelter for these kids and it's a disaster for them during the rainy season...Let's get this done now!!
